The active agent is a water based solution. Due to the vibrations of an ultrasonic cell this solution gets torn to tiny drops.
A fine mist evolves which is blown out of the unit by an integrated fan.
The mist spreads throughout the whole air ventilation system of the car.
Because the drops are so small (< 5 µm) they are able to clean the space in between the evaporator fins.
